With the task of trimming the width of the curtains can cope on their own and without special tools. To remove all measurements you need to use the length of a ruler or building tape.

Shorten the width of the roll as follows:

1. Cut the shaft. To do this, you need to subtract the thickness of the bracket from the width of the roll. Measure out the desired length of the shaft, cut off the excess and install a special plug on it.
   
2. Spread the curtain, mark the desired width using the slats.
3. Cut fabric cloth with a knife.
   
4. To install the material on the shaft, remove the film from the self-adhesive strip of the shaft. Check that the roller is wound onto the shaft from the side of the window opening. Check where the curtain lifting mechanism will be. The curtain must be fixed on the shaft strictly in the horizontal direction to avoid distortions. Bend 5 inches to the top of the roll so as to form a fold. Attach the shaft in the fold self-adhesive up.
5. Roll the shaft to the top of the blade, turn the spool around, leaving the free edge on ¼, fix the bottom rail.
