Spiderweb Halloween

Halloween is an annual autumn festival celebrated by adults and children in many countries of the world. For its celebration, a variety of attributes, carnival costumes and vampire masks, ghost figures and garlands of toy bats, lanterns and caskets made of real or homemade pumpkins are created. No less well-known decoration - the web for Halloween. It is made from threads or gauze, wire or laces, old nylon pantyhose or thin paper.

Spiderweb Magic

Cobwebs - the thinnest translucent thread produced by spiders to hunt insects. A small bird or a bat is capable of becoming entangled in a sufficiently strong, multilayered "grid", but the spider itself does not stick to it. Cobwebs can often be seen in the autumn woods - this time often almost coincides with the time of the celebration of Halloween.

The cobweb as a symbol indicates the fragility of human existence, the long journey of the soul, as well as the webs placed by the Devil in the form of a spider in its path. In another embodiment, the spider is a weaver-fate, spinning his fate for every living creature.

Weave from threads, ropes

A web of sewing or knitting threads, ropes, twine is easily made by hand, for this we need:

  • a large piece of plywood or fiberboard;
  • black wool thread;
  • hammer;
  • nails with big hats;
  • black acrylic paint;
  • tassel.

Working process:

  • a nail is driven into the center of plywood, another 15-18 pieces - around the perimeter;
  • the threads fold in half, stretched between the middle and the edges;
  • further from the center, 7-10 cm recedes, depending on the size of the structure, another nail is driven in next to each "ray";
  • a double thread is pulled on the carved cloves;
  • after that two or four more such circles are made, about 10 cm apart from each other;
  • nail heads are painted with black paint;
  • When the work is finished, a giant spider from a toy store can be put on the web.

To make a free-hanging cobweb, in any suitable place, six or ten studs are driven in, which are pulled with nylon threads or rope. One of them is tied with a long thread, which is tied alternately around each of the warp threads. When a circle is formed, the thread is cut and a few more circles are made. Spiders, plastic, as if cut off fingers, skeletons, etc. are glued to the finished construction. Alternatively, not every circle can be woven individually, but one thread in a spiral, to the very edge.

Spiderweb

A knitted spider web, with minimal skills, can be crocheted easily according to the scheme - on the pages of fashion magazines on handicraft there are step-by-step master classes, here is one of them.

Initially, seven or eight air loops fit in, a circle is made from them, which is closed with a semi-column. The second row - three air loops for lifting, plus nineteen double crochets, the last - connecting. From the last loop, after the closure of the row, five air loops are knitted, the post is knitted through one loop of the previous row, after two air loops alternate with the posts until the end of the row. In each of the following rows of air loops it becomes more and more, and the posts fit only above the posts of the previous rows.

The total number of rows depends on the overall size of the product, the width of one row is about one centimeter, if you want to make the “cells” larger, the posts are tied up not with one, but with two or three naquids. You can use a ready-made cobweb as a napkin, tablecloth, cushion on a chair, a stool or sew a spider from threads and beads to it, present to your friends as a souvenir.

Knitted design sometimes make the corner - in the form of a sector with a right angle. First, three double crochets fit into the first loop, five next, next, one air loop is inserted between the third columns, then the number of air loops is increased, and the columns are made higher by adding one or two single crochets. In some places you can knit "peas", sew multi-colored or transparent beads that imitate dew drops.

A cobweb can also be a thick mat that can be knitted in two colors. Then the space between the spider "axes" knit yarn contrasting colors. It will be no less interesting if in the middle of the product you knit a convex orange pumpkin, on which eyes, nose and mouth are then embroidered.

Gauze web

Such decoration is made if you want to decorate a large space - a room, various pieces of furniture, individual corners, walls. To do this, cut off a piece of gauze of the desired length, stretch it from side to side, until something like a gossamer is obtained. After it is fixed in a suitable place.

If you want to make an old, dusty cobweb, in warm water we spread some black mascara or gouache in which we soak the product, dry it, hang it, decorate it with sparkles, spiders, plastic bones.

The spider fixture looks interesting - on the old frame of a multi-track, multi-tiered chandelier, the gauze is stretched, decorated with sparkles and spiders. To avoid fire, the fabric should not touch the light bulb.

Paper web

Even a child who can handle scissors can make such a thing. You need a square sheet of white or black thin paper that folds in half. Then the middle of the resulting rectangle is outlined, to which one side is bent at an angle of 45 degrees, then the other. The excess parts are trimmed to form a triangle that folds in half. The edge is cut in waves, rectangles are drawn and cut from two sides, and the central angle is also cut off. The finished web turns, decorates, and fastens with the help of glue on cardboard, wall, window glass.

A plausible spider can be made from newspaper tubes, painted with dark nail polish.

Wire web

This angular product is created from flexible wire of any thickness. A wire is taken from which five to seven pieces are cut, slightly larger than the radius of the desired structure. Extreme parts are located at right angles to each other, the rest - between them. All parts are woven at one point, after the rays are intertwined with additional pieces of wire. The tips of the rays are twisted into a spiral or left straight.

The spider is also easy to make from eight pieces of wire wrapped in black thread, tied in the middle.

Interesting ways to decorate the interior with cobwebs

You can decorate various rooms with the help of a web not only on Halloween, but just like that, any interior from the loft and minimalism to the empire and baroque. In the luxurious bedrooms, made in the Gothic or classical styles, canopy and curtain beds, dressing tables are created from textile web. Cobweb tulle is suitable for a romantic interior, and for the feast spiders made of beads will "settle" there. In a spacious loft-style living room, a cobweb created from rusty chains will be an excellent zoning element.

In the dacha garden such a wicker is hung on the branches of spreading trees. By the construction of wire or thread, but mounted on sticks stuck into the ground, grapes or other climbing plant can be easily climbed. The cobweb wrought iron grill is an original solution for industrial styling. An iron cobweb with stained glass inserted into it decorates interior doors and a window in the bathroom. For minimalism, you can create an appropriate pattern directly on the wall, in a corner or in the middle of the wall, if this is a temporary undertaking, then draw it with gouache or pencils. The frame left over from the old chair, the armchair, is also braided with a cord, creating a web-like pattern for the throne of the Halloween witch.

Conclusion

A web of gauze, thread, any other material is an original festive interior decoration that is easy to do with your own hands. All new step by step instructions of various degrees of complexity appear on the Internet on the eve of the celebration of All Saints Day. The face of a person on Halloween is also often decorated with a web mask drawn with the help of cosmetics.
